It is with great remorse that I announce the end of the miniSPHERE mobile portal. This was a fun project that started back in 2006 when the mobile web was in its infancy. I had a great time designing it, took pride in upgrading it, and most of all, really enjoyed using it.

However, as many with Smartphones know, the mobile web is now pretty much the standard web. Most mobile browsers are pretty adept at scrolling, navigating, and delivering content from the full sized pages we view on our laptops and desktops every day.

My hope going forward is that companies do continue to develop mobile alternatives, but more build in the browser recognition to redirect devices to compatible versions. I believe this will negate the need to maintain a separate directory.
